This is another best “genre” movie and a new fun twist on an old tale. The princess and the frog is about Tiana and her dream to open a restaurant. As she dreams of creating a fantastic place in New Orleans Prince Naveen arrives in New Orleans looking for someone to marry.
Of course there is a dark and sinister element in the “shadow man”. He is a greedy black magic slinging voodoo man that cons the Prince’s valet into helping him. He soon turns the prince into a frog and the valet into a look alike of the prince.
The prince kisses Tiana in hopes she will turn him back into a human, but he actually turns her into a frog and they soon hit the road in search of a cure to turn them both back into humans.
These two unlikely people or should I say frogs meet a great variety of wildlife that help them on the path to Mamma Odies’ the good voodoo lady. These two frogs soon find not only their path to being human, but also the path to happiness lies within each other.
It isn’t surprising that this movie won awards because it will have your family laughing, singing, and even crying a bit together as the family watches this mystical story.
