I was a bit shocked and surprised when I found out that Inglourious Basterds didn’t win any awards as a best movie. I guess it is because it was a war movie and one about World War 2.
The plot is fairly simple in its concept. It is the age old fight of good vs evil and in this case of course the Nazi’s are the evil. You can break it down even further by saying the plot was simply to kill Nazi’s.
In the beginning scenes you hear the Lt. Aldo (played by Brad Pitt) tells his people that he wants 100 Nazi scalps and he intends for them to get them for him. That since the Nazi’s didn’t have any humanity in them then they won’t either.
I am honestly not a fan of Brad Pitt, but in this movie he really excels. His character portrayal of Lt. Aldo is one of the best performances I think he has ever given.
In a nutshell this is a movie that any war movie fan would enjoy. Grab your favorite candy and check out one of the 10 best movies online.
