Every year a ton of children’s movies are released and most of them are good, but there is always one in the bunch that is spectacular and talked about over and over again. This year I think it will be How to Train Your Dragon.

This film will have your youngsters and more than likely you glued to your seat as you watch a young Viking boy trying to make his way in his society. When he comes face to face with his first real dragon alone he decides to befriend the creature instead of destroy it and therein lies the beginning of changes in his society and himself.

You will also want to check out the book series that this movie is based on. With as great as this first movie was I am sure there will be sequels that will follow the books just as the Harry Potter series did. This will give both you and your youngsters some background on these amazing dragons and the wee Vikings that try to control them.

If you are ready for a fun adventure that the whole family will enjoy then watch How to Train Your Dragon with your family, but be prepared to watch it over and over again!
