The Debt is a thriller starring Helen Mirren and Jessica Chastain. It is one of the top movies of Hollywood of recent times. The story starts with introduction to Rachel (Helen Mirren), a former Israeli intelligence who had undertaken a mission to capture the Surgeon of Birkenau, a Nazi war criminal that has been at large in Berlin, along with fellow spies David (Ciaran Hinds) and Stefan (Tom Wilkinson). But just as Rachel’s daughter is about to launch a book related to the incident it is found that the three secret agents are not too comfortable about the facts related to the incident mentioned in the book. The Debt is one of the best movies I have ever watched which can be termed as a classic thriller.

It has some great scenes but that is not the best of the movie. The movie is about three couples that set off on a journey across the Cascade Mountains. Their caravan is led by a rough character named Meek who is supposed to know the area very well, but it doesn’t take long before he’s set them astray and they are lost. As they try to wrap their minds around their predicament and come to terms with the idea that they might starve to death out in the wilderness, things get very interesting.
