This movie screams out to all you comic book and graphic novel fans. The Watchmen has seen its day in the sun in graphic novel format, but when it hits the big screen it really will knock your socks off.
I a nutshell “Watchmen” is set in an universe that is filled with superheroes and in this society the cold war with the Soviet Union makes everyone edgy and worried. When one of the many superheroes is killed an old vigilante comes out of retirement to uncover the plot and kill the bad guys. This is of course when the mayhem begins.
If you are a graphic novel fan and love seeing these comics brought to life on the big screen then you will mark Watchmen as one of your top 10 movies of the year. You will download this movie and save it on your harddrive to view over and over again.

Bride wars is a fun romp down the wedding aisle when two best friends Liv and Emma prepare to get wed. These best friends become enemies as their date at the plaza hotel falls on the same date.
The fun soon changes into stress as neither girl wants to change her wedding date and they both have dreams of being married at the plaza hotel. Will the good girl Emma played by Anne Hathaway win the bride wars or will her best friend spoiled blond Kate Hudson win.
During all this Emma finds her finance is a control freak and she tries to deal with that along with trying to plan her perfect wedding.
The movie will definitely appeal to any woman that has dreamed of marriage and her wedding day, and anyone that loves funny situations and has had a best friend and what seemed at the time serious spats.
This movie is a best movie to me for romantic comedies that make you laugh as you watch this movie online or from the video store.

Here is another movie that I’d have to put into my ten best movies for the genre of family. I don’t think that this movie was given the accolades that it should have gotten. It did win the Teens Choice Award for 2009.

Even though most sequels blow, this one didn’t in fact, I found Night at the Museum even funnier than the original movie. There are lines that you just say over and over again. If you have seen the first movie then you will recognize quite a few of the same characters, plus a few more from the Smithsonian museum.

The plot is simple our hero Larry played by Ben Stiller has to save the tablet from the evil hands of Kahmunrah played by Hank Azaria. He collects more bad guys to help him thwart Larry including Capone, Ivan the Terrible and Napoleon.

Larry collects his own band of goodies as he roams through the museum hiding from Kahmunrah and plotting a way to resolve these issues. He runs into Amelia Earhart and finds a woman worthy of the adventure.

I think this is a great download movie. You can watch it alone or with the family and enjoy it.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian Movie Trailer

There are a lot of reviews floating around about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and I have to agree with most of them, however even if this Harry Potter isn’t one of our top ten best movies, it does have merit and any Harry Potter fan won’t want to miss this newest installment.
You will find the old cast of characters including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granter and a few new additions including Professor Slughorn. In this ever expanding chapter of Harry Potter we see Harry chasing after Voldemort and trying to break the Professors hidden memories to find out clues about his arch enemy.
There are definitely twists and turns that will keep you on edge, but some Potter fans might find this newest addition a bit slow in its presentation. I was expecting a bit more out of this sequel, but being a Potter fan I still enjoyed it immensely.

I was a bit shocked and surprised when I found out that Inglourious Basterds didn’t win any awards as a best movie. I guess it is because it was a war movie and one about World War 2.
The plot is fairly simple in its concept. It is the age old fight of good vs evil and in this case of course the Nazi’s are the evil. You can break it down even further by saying the plot was simply to kill Nazi’s.
In the beginning scenes you hear the Lt. Aldo (played by Brad Pitt) tells his people that he wants 100 Nazi scalps and he intends for them to get them for him. That since the Nazi’s didn’t have any humanity in them then they won’t either.
I am honestly not a fan of Brad Pitt, but in this movie he really excels. His character portrayal of Lt. Aldo is one of the best performances I think he has ever given.
In a nutshell this is a movie that any war movie fan would enjoy. Grab your favorite candy and check out one of the 10 best movies online.

This is another best “genre” movie and a new fun twist on an old tale. The princess and the frog is about Tiana and her dream to open a restaurant. As she dreams of creating a fantastic place in New Orleans Prince Naveen arrives in New Orleans looking for someone to marry.
Of course there is a dark and sinister element in the “shadow man”. He is a greedy black magic slinging voodoo man that cons the Prince’s valet into helping him. He soon turns the prince into a frog and the valet into a look alike of the prince.
The prince kisses Tiana in hopes she will turn him back into a human, but he actually turns her into a frog and they soon hit the road in search of a cure to turn them both back into humans.
These two unlikely people or should I say frogs meet a great variety of wildlife that help them on the path to Mamma Odies’ the good voodoo lady. These two frogs soon find not only their path to being human, but also the path to happiness lies within each other.
It isn’t surprising that this movie won awards because it will have your family laughing, singing, and even crying a bit together as the family watches this mystical story.

If you are ready to laugh and cry at the same time then check out It’s Complicated. This movie has a star studded cast that includes Meryl Streep, Alex Baldwin, Steve Martin and others. This movie didn’t get rave reviews, but from everyone I have spoken to and from seeing it myself I can say to put it on your to see list.

You will love watching as Meryl Streep is wooed by her ex husband played by Alex Baldwin. He finds that his new marriage isn’t’ what he expected and he wants to become involved with his ex wife Meryl.

This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time that is both a comedy and a romance. The ending is unusual and you’ll be amazed at some of the great one liners. Steve Martin of course helps to add to the hilarity of the movie and does a stellar job as being a straight guy in this romantic comedy.

My one warning is be careful when you drink, you might find your beverage coming out of your nose as you laugh.

As we know most sequels usually fall short of the mark, and honestly I wonder why they continue to make them. This isn’t’ always the case, but for the most part it is. Ice Age sequels are definitely good and I think we can add Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeekqel to the list of not a sucky sequel.

Everyone went nuts when they first saw the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, but I think in this case the sequel just might be better than the original movie. Watch as the boys come up against three cute chipmunk girls that want to take the fame and glory from these furry boys and at the same time want to get to know them better.

What will win out? Love or Money. That is the age old answer and these fuzzy guys and girls want to show you in this cute and loveable sequel that will warm your hearts. Before you see this movie start saying NO, because once your children see this movie you’ll be asked over and over again if they can have a pet chipmunk.
